Catechins, most notably epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), are effective antioxidants and decrease harmful oxidative damage. Studies have shown that curcuminoids, naturally occurring bioactive compounds from turmeric, also scavenge free radicals by providing antioxidants. Since curcumin exhibits poor absorption when consumed orally, DIM Enhanced contains a highly bioavailable curcumin that has up to a 20-fold improvement in bioavailability versus the standard 95% curcumin extracts.
Wasabia japonica (a member of the cruciferous vegetable family) contains long chain isothiocyanates (ITCs), which are unique to wasabia.
